Dallas OB/GYN physician assistant, Beverly B. Johnson, MMS, PA-C was born and raised in Chicago. She moved from Chicago recently where she practiced in the field of obstetrics and gynecology for 13 years out of Northwestern Memorial / Prentice Women’s Hospital in Chicago. She graduated from Grand Valley State University in Michigan, with a degree in Biological Health Sciences, completed her physician assistant training at John Stroger Hospital of Cook County while earning her Master’s Degree in Medical Science in 2005.

She loves the family-friendly environment of Texas as she lives in McKinney with her husband, 2 daughters and a son. Beverly has been practicing a full range of obstetrical and gynecological care. She can see patients from adolescence to the mature women, which include: well women exams, Pap smear, HPV screen, colposcopies, treating vaginal and urinary tract infections, STI counseling/treatment, and active management of abnormal uterine bleeding. She also provides natural and prescription options for acne, painful or heavy periods, PMS and perimenopausal symptoms from hot flashes to mood swings.

Her special interests of practice include the screening, evaluation and testing of hereditary cancers including breast, ovarian and colon cancer including BRCA 1, 2 and Lynch syndrome testing. For patients who have a strong personal or family history of these cancers, she is able to evaluate their risk and provide increase surveillance of these cancers based on National Comprehensive Cancer Network and most insurance company’s guidelines so patients feel proactive in preventing cancers that have affected themselves or their loved ones.
